Lowe Engineering Model AGI Automatic Grease Interceptors are designed to intercept and remove large quantities of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) discharged from food service facilities and large commercial/institutional kitchens, which might interfere with the proper drainage and treatment of municipal wastewater. Lowe Automatic Grease Interceptors range in size from relatively small units, allowing installation in a kitchen under a sink or other limited space to large higher volume units. AGI's incorporate an electrically powered grease-skimming device. During operation, the grease is separated by gravity floatation where it can be skimmed off the top surface of the water on a time or event controlled basis. The skimmed grease is collected in a waste disposal container for disposal or recycling.

Highland Passive Grease Interceptors (PGI) help restaurant owners comply with the EPA’s Sewer Pretreatment Regulations. These gravity grease interceptors are designed to intercept and collect large quantities of sewer clogging fats, oil, and grease (FOG) and solid food waste discharged from large commercial or institutional kitchens. Highland grease interceptors prevent the discharge of FOG into the sanitary sewer system and aid in the prevention of sanitary sewer blockages to protect the sewer system from sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs). Highland PGI, with their advanced “diffusion and switchback baffling system”, retain wastewater long enough to allow liquefied grease to cool down, separate, and congeal and allow for solid material to settle. They are available in large volumes to accommodate specified retention times, even 30 minutes or greater. Aboveground rectangular or cylindrical interceptors and made-to-order designs are available so that you can customize volumes, compartments, inlets, outlets, or baffles to satisfy specific code requirements. Custom Sampling Ports are also available to aid in monitoring gravity discharge quality.

The 2114-OWM is used for monitoring as the water phase changes to oil in a tank or pipe. A probe inserted into a tank or pipe measures the capacitance field. This is ideal for general monitoring of oils and other liquid phase changes in a process.
